Meet Ignite’s New Executive Director, Peggy Driscoll!

We are delighted to officially welcome long-time Colorado nonprofit professional Peggy Driscoll to Ignite as our Executive Director. Peggy has been Ignite’s interim Executive Director since last fall and agreed to stay on, bringing her experience and talents to bear on behalf of Ignite and our athletes.

Peggy’s career is rooted in the nonprofit sector, with a wealth of experience and understanding of Colorado’s nonprofit environment. A native Minnesotan, Peggy came to Colorado in 1994 to join the Women’s Bean Project, where she quickly advanced to Executive Director. She has also served as Executive Director of the Brett Family Foundation.

More recently, Peggy was with the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, where she held the position of Director of Donor Engagement. Prior to joining Ignite, Peggy served as Interim Executive Director at Rise Against Suicide and Interim Administrative Director at Shepherd Valley Waldorf School.

Peggy has served on several nonprofit boards and has developed an expertise in nonprofit financial management. She holds a Master’s Degree in Management, with a focus on nonprofits.

Since 1997, Peggy and her husband Rob have called Boulder County home. They know Eldora well. Rob learned how to ski there in the ‘70s and their three boys followed suit in the ‘00s.

After starting with Ignite in October 2025, Peggy quickly developed a deep appreciation for the organization, its mission, and the strong sense of connection and shared purpose across the community.

Please reach out if you’d like to share your experiences of Ignite and your hopes for Ignite’s future with her at peggy@igniteadaptivesports.org.

Ignite’s Board of Directors couldn’t be more excited to have Peggy serving in this important role on the Ignite team. She brings the nonprofit business knowledge, the ethic of servant leadership, and a commitment to the values that power Ignite’s mission that will make her an effective leader as we continue to provide people with disabilities opportunities to enjoy the Colorado outdoors.
