On Friday, July 13, “Destruction and Construction” of Equipment Facility storage and deck repairs were headed up by Pete Dunigan, Building Maintenance, assisted by John Humbrecht. Equipment Manager Stacey Lunn with the help of Lofton Henderson and Steve Williamson kept busy moving snowshoes, Nordic and Alpine poles, tether belts and any other equipment out of the way for the demolition to then create the new storage areas. Once done with that the three continued to organize and prepare for the inventory on July 15.

The five returned Sunday, July 15 and were joined by Paula Galloway, Christy Hoyle, Susan Rogers and Mary Weis-Fout to complete the “A-Team” for inventory. Clipboards in hand, all Equipment/clothing/tools etc. in the Main Facility and Equipment Facility were counted, sorted, organized and recorded. Meanwhile Pete and John continued rebuilding the new storage areas. The flow in the back of Equipment Facility has been greatly improved! All Nordic equipment is reorganized for easier access including a new Nordic boot shelf. New tether belt storage will be easier to get at along with new shelf for rear entry boots and a redo of the Alpine pole rack.

One of the highlights of the day: “Fun with Lost & Found” as you will see in a few of the photos! Thanks to all for the hard work!
